Kathleen England has been a noteworthy part of the Visionary Optics team for nearly five years. Currently serving as the Product Manager for both Visionary Optics and VibrantVue®, she has worn many hats within the company since 2017.
Kathleen assists with onboarding new Visionary Optics customers and helping them grow their specialty lens practice. She has also aided in implementing new products to continue both Visionary Optics and VibrantVue®’s integral success. Kathleen’s background is in healthcare management and finance, which helps support new and existing eye care practitioners integrate specialty contact lenses and products into their practice.
Q&A with Products and Billing Manager Kathleen England
What is your favorite part about being a part of the Visionary Optics team?
For me, every day is something new, and I absolutely love that. Being a part of a small, dynamic company like Visionary Optics, I am able to truly make an impact with my work. As the Product Manager, I am able to openly collaborate with team members on our current and future products. I look at it through a lens (pun intended) of, “How will this product help our customers and their patients?” Knowing my efforts make a difference is all that I need to love coming to “work” every day. I also truly love working with a team that puts their heart into their work every single day. We all work together to support each other and the greater good of our amazing customers.
What is a recent story that highlights how Visionary Optics’ products truly have the power to change lives?
We recently launched our new SIGHTSUPPORT program for patients who may need assistance due to financial hardship, and I have the honor of speaking with the doctors and some patients who go through this program.
I had a patient call in tears after receiving her scleral lenses. She was preparing to sell items to afford her lenses and said this program came right when she needed it the most. She was so thankful for our team for providing her with “the gift of sight.” I am well aware of how our scleral lenses change people’s lives, but knowing that we are giving back to those who need it the most really touches my heart and makes me so proud of being a part of this team.
How does VibrantVue® fit into Visionary Optics’ existing product line, and why did Visionary Optics decide to start offering these products?
It only makes sense that Visionary Optics would start offering an (exceptional) eye care line like VibrantVue®.
