Donna Clark has been an integral part of the Visionary Optics team since 2016. As a customer service consultant, she assists doctors and their staff and plays an important role in product quality assurance. Donna has a background in customer support and enjoys taking great care of our customers.
Q&A with Customer Service Representative Donna Clark
Besides being an excellent customer service representative, you also audit all of the contact lenses before they are shipped to customers. Why is this an important role?
When auditing contact lenses, I make sure our lab techs have filled in all of the information correctly. They all have to be marked a certain way, as well as initialed and dated. This is important because it helps ensure that the lenses are sent out exactly as the customers requested.
What is your typical day like at Visionary Optics?
My typical workday involves answering phones, entering orders, auditing lenses, checking in material, and assisting with labeling and shipping when needed. One of my key responsibilities is assisting our busy doctors and their staff in a friendly and timely manner.
How does your previous work experience help you in your role?
Before I started at Visionary Optics, I worked in customer service, payroll, and accounting — all skills I continue to use in my current role. A friend referred me to the company when I was looking for a new opportunity that would fit my customer service background. When I interviewed at Visionary Optics, I was amazed by the work the company was doing and wanted to be a part of it.
You’ve been a part of the Visionary Optics team for 6+ years; what is most fulfilling about your position?
The best part of my day at Visionary Optics is hearing from customers how our scleral lenses are changing lives daily. It makes me so happy to hear their stories and to know that we are helping them see more clearly. Working here is very fulfilling. My coworkers are great, and I love what I’m doing.
