A 68 y/o female patient was seen by Dr. Greg DeNaeyer, and she presented with significant corneal scars in her right eye. Her best-corrected spectacle vision was 20/60 in that eye. Fortunately, she was 20/20 in the left eye. Her corneal topography demonstrated irregularity in her right eye and scleral profilometry revealed 400 microns of scleral toricity in the oblique 30-degree meridian.

A 23-year-old female patient had multiple corneal scars on her left eye, due to stromal keratitis from a herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection. Because of the scarring and moderate to severe corneal irregularity, the patient’s best corrected vision, either with glasses or soft contact lenses, was 20/50. Read more.
A 62-year-old patient underwent a corneal transplant of her left eye decades ago and the graft has recurrent keratoconus. For many years, she wore a corneal gas permeable contact lens in her left eye that did not fit well but provided her with 20/25 vision.
